Originating in Rome, this little chaplet dates back to 1821 when it was first approved by a decree of Pius VII. It consists of five groups of five beads, each group representing one of the Five Wounds. It is made with red and clear crackle glass beads with the Holy Face image of Jesus is in the center. Around the edge of the medal in Latin are the words "Lord Shine The Light of His countenance upon us". It begins with a nail crucifix.
Each chaplet comes with a beautifully designed instruction card.
